On day 3 you can take your child outside of the house, but only after peeing. This is to make sure you have plenty of time to get back to the potty before he needs to go again, but it also teaches him that he needs to pee before going out.
If you’ve approached the 3 day toilet training process with zero pressure and free of any expectations you might get a pleasant surprise on the third day. Instead going through the same things as Day 1 and Day 2, your child may suddenly get it and make Day 3 accident free.
I’m not gonna lie to you, there is also the case that your child might still not get everything. If that’s the scenario, do not despair. Just keep being positive and work on the parts of the routine he or she is able to do.
Always remember that pleasant surprises do happen and will happen.
After this initial 3 days of training, the next step is to give your child some freedom by telling him that he can use the potty whenever he needs to without him having to tell you. Most of the times this is when everything clicks.
